Côte d'Azur travel tips

If you're visiting the Côte d'Azur (French Riviera), you must absolutely visit Nice (Nica), with its blue bay, and its well known Flower Market.
Typical food to taste are Socca , pissaladiere and salade niçoise.

For nigth clubbing the best is Cannes together with Saint Tropez

In Cannes you can eat and then stay for dancing in Tantra Restaurant (very fancy).
Or, when the weather is warm, reserve a table at Le Baoli (near the port)... it's the most exclusive place in Cannes (all the celebrities go there during the film festival parties). Very expensive, very exclusive, sophisticated cuisine.
The biggest and most cool disco is Le Palais, above the palace of the film festival. It's hard to get in and it's expensive but it's worth the visit!

In Saint Tropez you can admire old fishermen bay with all the yachts anchored just in front of the bars. If you dare to challenge the strict door selection, go to hotel Byblos and try to enter Les Caves du Roy... definitely the most exclusive and fancy disco I've ever been. Music is excellent (resident DJ Jack-E), champagne is a must, and dancing beside celebrities is not uncommon.
Other famous venues are Papagayo

On the other end of the riviera there's the Principauté de Monaco, with the Montecarlo harbour, the Palace of the princess.
Best restaurant clubs are Jimi'z and la Rascasse

Best season to visit the French Riviera is mid may, when there's the film festival in Cannes and the Formula 1 GP in Montecarlo
